Forum Watch Thundgot, Aeus, Ommra, Crezax, & Vaneras, 10/10/2006
Another week has stealthily snuck up and stunlocked us, and thus we are forced to reveal this week's Forum Watch.
Schwick's Corner:
Warcraft Weekly is here in its 61st installment and as always it is both interesting and fun to read and, thus, should not be missed!
Also, Schwick has been busy updating his massive Info about the Expansion thread, so be sure to check it out if there is anything you would like to know about The Burning Crusade.
And as always, don't forget to nominate threads for next week's Forum Watch.
Fun and other stuff:
Thrall3000?!... LegolaserPEWPEW?!... SuperShamanGoku?!... DarthHunter?!... XxSephirOrcxX?!... GankMasterDJ?!... If you are thinking about re-rolling, but are having trouble coming up with a good name for your new character, then having a look at this naming inspiration guide might be a good idea.
Creative and talented players are always a great thing, especially when they decide to share their talents with the community. In this thread you can find some very nice custom tailored WoW wallpapers made by Eain from the Defias Brotherhood realm.
Speaking of talented players, don't miss out on these poems written by Naxxel from the Azjol-Nerub realm. The poems are for both sides, for all classes and for all ages.
And now for something completely different: If World of Warcraft was real life, what class would you be? Find out right here!
The News Stand:
Some World of Warcraft players are busy taking the game and the community to the next level, and they have been busy whipping and bruising goblins to make them work faster on the printing machines. This week we have two publications for all of you to enjoy:
The Cogwheel - A fairly new newspaper that has now been published for the 3rd time
Azerothian Weekly - Has been around for a while and has now been released in its 15th edition. Also, don't miss the latest comic strip with the adventures of Clint PI.

The Gathering 2006 Thundgot, 20/04/06
Attending The Gathering in Norway this year, we had the pleasure of meeting up with a lot of avid World of Warcraft players. Everywhere we could see World of Warcraft running on the screens, and the crowd that gathered in front of the main stage when the Horde guild Refusion, from Burning Blade, took down the Twin Emperors on the big screen was impressive.
Being in Norway it was no surprise the male undead dance was well represented among the contestants of the World of Warcraft dance-alike contest. It was night elf dances that made it to the top though, with a shared victory between the male and female versions. As a side note, I think this was the first contest where we've seen a guy do the night elf female dance – and no, that wasn't the winner. A valiant effort though.
We hope those who attended enjoyed the two hour late-night Q&A session we had about Blizzard employment and the game itself. It was a great opportunity for us to talk to players face to face and gather feedback and impressions, both at the Q&A and during The Gathering in general.
Thanks to everyone at The Gathering. If you weren't there, make sure to look out for announcements of Blizzard attending other events in the future.
